For applications to KG1, KG2 and Grade 1, Al Yasat does not test students. All prospective new students will be invited to the school for a familiarization visit during which time the school will observe their readiness to join activities and follow instructions and their fine and gross motor skills. An informal interview with parents will also take place. For Grades 2 to 9, all applicants will be assessed in literacy and math using standardized MAP testing. School reports for the previous 2 academic years are required for applicants in grades 3 to 5 and for the previous 3 years from Grade 6. |
