Students at Amity sit external assessments for their GCSEs (in Year 11) and their A Levels (in Year 13) across a range of elected academic subjects. These are all externally marked, moderated, and awarded assessments from a range of different exam boards such as Oxford AQA and Pearson Edexcel. Students also sit Cognitive Abilities Tests (CAT4), Progress Tests (GL), and every three years students are selected for the Progress for International Student Assessment (PISA). |

Playdates, Taster Days and Entry Assessments – Depending on the child’s age |
Brief description of entry evaluation required |
Pupils applying for Nursery & Reception will attend a playdate or submit pre-recorded videos if the pupil is overseas. For years 1 & 2, they will undergo a phonics, math, and/or writing overview to assess their current level. From year 3 onwards, pupils will sit an entry assessment, formally known as a Cat 4 assessment, and have either a taster morning and/or an interview with the Head of School. All of which are designed to assess academic readiness for the entry year to which your child is applying. |
