We are constantly investing in new technology to enhance our teaching and learning. There are Chromebooks and tablets available in every classroom in order to enhance learning across all curriculum areas. All primary classrooms have interactive smart boards. Aspen Heights has a number of progressive and ever-evolving supports in place to promote the positive mental health and socio-emotional wellbeing of our community. Wellbeing initiatives for students are embedded into our core curriculum through the provision of mindfulness activities in classrooms, as well as daily wellbeing and circle time sessions. Aspen Heights also has a school counsellor on site to: provide individual and/or group counselling sessions in a confidential setting, run social emotional learning lessons across key year groups, send out weekly wellbeing and mental health resources to parents/families, organise and run family workshops, and make external referrals as and when needed. |

Each new student goes through a playdate/ assessment process where they are evaluated on their current progress, in order to help the school understand the educational support needed once the child joins the school. |

Each application is considered on a case by case basis. During the admissions evaluation, Aspen Heights will consider aspects such as language proficiency, behaviour with peers and additional learning needs. These are not academic entrance tests instead, they support the school's placement of students by ensuring classes are diverse across gender, language, nationality, and additional learning needs. |
