Amman Academy (AA), situated in West Amman, has been shaping future leaders since 1991. As a bilingual IB World School, we offer an internationally recognised curriculum taught in both Arabic and English, and we are proud to be one of the few schools in Jordan authorised to offer all three IB programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). We currently enrol around 1,550 students from kindergarten to Grade 12, providing a well-rounded education that balances academic achievement with personal development.
Our goal is to create lifelong learners who are well-equipped to navigate an ever-changing world. Guided by exceptional teachers, our students consistently achieve excellent academic results, with the 2024 graduating class earning a remarkable IBDP average point score of 40/45 compared to the global average of 30.32/45. We inspire our students to pursue excellence in every aspect of their lives, cultivating their respect for Jordanian culture while fostering an understanding and appreciation for global perspectives.

Located in west Amman, Amman Academy is a private co-educational, bilingual (English and Arabic) day school enrolling students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
The school opened in 1991 and has been an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School since 2006 when it began offering the Diploma Program.

Kindergarten | Ages 3 to 5
At Amman Academy, our kindergarten children follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Excellence begins early here, and our PYP sets the highest standards for the learning, development, and care of nursery and pre-school students. It will meticulously prepare your child for primary by carefully nurturing their formative knowledge and building fundamental skills.
The curriculum encourages our learners to be curious, introducing them to themes that span different subjects. Learning extends beyond the classroom, too, enabling students to connect ideas with real-world experiences. The PYP’s global focus also instils an early understanding of people, ideas, and cultures from around the world.
Primary Years | Ages 5 to 11
Our thematic IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) will spark your child's creativity and nurture their intellectual growth, instilling a lifetime love of learning. Guided by our world-class educators, they'll become a confident, active learner with a truly global outlook.
Our PYP is an inquiry-based curriculum that develops curious, reflective, and confident global learners. Through cross-curricular themes and topics, our students gain an understanding of how different subjects relate to each other, as well as to the world around them. This develops the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in our Middle Years Programme, and beyond.
Middle Years | Ages 11 to 16
Our International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP brings out the best in our middle school students, developing their subject knowledge and essential attributes, values, and skills. Your child will explore global issues, apply what they learn to real-world situations, and immerse themselves in themed projects. This will set them up for success on the IB Diploma.
The MYP is a challenging but highly rewarding curriculum that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. It provides an outstanding academic education, with learning taught through eight subject groups. The MYP also focuses on the development of core attitudes, skills, and values.
IB Diploma | Ages 16 to 18
Your child’s International Baccalaureate (IB) school journey at Amman Academy will culminate in the prestigious IB Diploma. The two-year Diploma is an academically challenging, rewarding, and highly respected qualification. It develops the depth of subject knowledge and breadth of skills our students need to excel now and in the future.
The Diploma also offers choice and flexibility. At Amman Academy, your child will choose the specialist IB subjects they follow, their Extended Essay topic, and a variety of Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) programmes. These will be based around their strengths, talents, and ambitions.
Our Campus
Our purpose-built campus offers first-class facilities, including specialised labs, sports facilities, and performance spaces. Our award-winning theatre provides students with a creative outlet to explore their talents and grow their confidence on stage.
