The Learning Support program at IAA exemplifies the school’s commitment to ensuring every student can thrive academically. By integrating classroom support, specialized interventions, and collaboration with families, the program creates a pathway for students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Support starts within the classroom where teachers and Learning Specialists collaborate to provide students with the best possible differentiated instruction in order to ensure that students’ learning variabilities are catered for. If a student is in need of further assistance, they are then referred to Learning Support for an assessment of his/her academic strengths and weaknesses. Results from the testing process are communicated to parents and teachers, with strategies for support in class and at home, along with any suggested interventions. |
