While I have nothing but praise for the teachers at BSA, who have all been wonderful and dedicated to my child's education, I am unfortunately disappointed by the unhelpful and unfriendly attitude displayed by reception staff.
Moreover, I find the school's policy regarding withdrawal reporting to be unreasonable. Despite the next academic year not commencing until September, the requirement to submit withdrawal reports by the end of March is impractical. If the withdrawal reporting deadline is missed, the consequences are dire: not only must the next term's tuition fee of $7000 be paid, but also the deposit of $2500 will not be refunded. Withdrawal reporting deadlines typically is within 2 to 3 months before the start of the new academic year in other international schools in the world.

My children went to BSA for seven years, all through Junior School and into Senior School. It’s a warm and supportive learning environment and community. My children absolutely adored it and we were very happy with the education they received there.

If you have a kind child do not send them at the BSA. My daughter was in the senior school and she was bullied by entitled wanna be popular kids. It is a toxic environment. Some of the teachers are not professionals and showed favouritism towards some students and were very rude to my daughter. The school psychologist was not consistent or warm and their policy against bullying is a joke. I have plenty of emails asking for help but it was either ignored or they just didn't have the skills to take actions. My daughter was having panic attacks and anxiety and in the end I had to withdraw my daughter from the school after a year and a half of stress. I didn't want to write this review but I felt it was the right thing to do and would not want another student to go through this.

My son was going to The British School of Amsterdam from Nursery till the end of Year 2 Junior School. We are not an native English speaking family. The school gave to our son fantastic start to his education, both teaching amazing English as well as developing his skills and personality. It is really a very good school and now, when we move to another country and our son will start his Year 3 in another British school, we are sure he is prepared on the highest possible level!

It was great all-rounded experience with fellow students, teachers and parents alike. There's a great feeling of community within the BSA ecosystem and the school certainly strives to keep that feeling amongst all participants with carefully planned activities both inside the school for students and various communities outside school hours. We will certainly miss it as much as our daughter.

My son ,Mason, went to the British school for three years, all the teachers are very nice. They moved to a new campus last year which is big and new, although the traffic at the school gate is really a problem. My son loves the British school so much, we will miss it. If we have the opportunity to go back to Amsterdam again, we will not hesitate to choose the British school again.

Thank you Miao, Mason will be missed too. We take on board your comment about traffic, this unfortunately comes with being in the city but we are always reviewing and improving this where possible.
If you find yourself in Amsterdam again, we would love to have you back.
