A vast majority of our students continue their studies in higher education, equipped with their IB diploma that allows them to apply to any university around the world.

Dedicated staff/programs for students with special learning needs

The school has a student services team that works with teachers, parents, students and external agencies to ensure the best possible learning opportunities and outcomes for each child. Learning programmes are differentiated for varying abilities and teachers adopt a range of strategies to cater for individual needs in the areas of EAL, Learning support, Gifted and Talented; and Special needs.

The style of support program is determined by the needs of individuals. This may require students to work individually or in small groups with support staff in or outside of the classroom.
As an inclusive school, ISBe admits students with mild learning difficulties and English language acquisition challenges. Based on our available facilities and resources, we strive to deliver support services while maintaining the integrity of our learning programme.
Where necessary, external agencies are accessed to facilitate in depth assessments, in order to identify underlying issues and recommend strategies for support.

Children can choose from a range of extracurricular activities, including artistic expression, music, sports, swimming, drama, , dance, ICT coding and programming, etc.

The school offers a wide variety of activities like Basketball, Swimming, Baseball, Gymnastics, Dance, Cricket, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton, Football, etc.

We also believe in exposure to competition and we also create opportunities where we put an emphasis on performance, skill level and healthy competition. We do this in our training sessions for our School Sport teams and competitions we hold against other schools. Our School sports are Football, Basketball, Swimming, Badminton and Cricket.

Facilities

Sports facilities at the school

The campus has a small gym equipped for Pre-school activities. Moreover, for all our sports and PE lessons, we use the excellent facilities at the Aartselaar Sports centre. These facilities include an indoor Swimming pool, a large indoor sports hall, an indoor dance hall, an athletics track, a grass football pitch and an artificial grass pitch.

Teaching approach of the school

ISBe prepares students for the 21st century workplace with its emphasis on creativity collaborative learning and presentation skills. Our curriculum and programs embed these concepts. Integrated into this is making familiarity with technology integral to our teaching and learning. Classrooms are equipped with the latest technology and from Class 4 onward we have a 1:1 Chromebook programme. Learning also takes place outside the classroom and we have an extensive range of day and residential trips, where students are taught to become creative problem solvers and independent learners.
