Does the school employ teaching assistants?

Yes, we believe that it takes a team of teachers to educate your child. We have homeroom teachers, specialist teachers and teacher assistants all working together in our school.

Use of technology in the classroom

Our upper primary classes use laptops in class and access a range of software and applications to support their learning. We have projectors available in every classroom for teacher instruction.
- Students engage with a range of technologies and materials in our Makerspace program.

Is the school ready to use virtual classrooms when needed? (e.g. teaching lessons online if the school is closed, e.g. during COVID-19 closures)

During COVID-19 we were able to deliver our entire learning program online to all students in the form of video tutorials, live streaming lessons, access to external apps and software to aid in the learning process.

Do students practice religion at the school? What religion?

As a fully registered school in Indonesia we are required by government to spend 30 minutes a week learning about religion. We offer religious studies on the 5 main religions practised in Indonesia: Christianity, Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. Families can choose which religion to learn about. Note: WE DO NOT ACTIVELY PRACTISE RELIGION at school - we simply learn about the different teachings.

How does the school accommodate non-religious students or students of a different religion?

Students are required to spend the time learning about their chosen religion each week during religion classes. If the child or family are not religious, that is OK. However we ask the child to simply learn about the different religions for their knowledge only. Again there is NO ACTIVE PRACTISING of religion at school.

External examinations or assessments available

1. Cambridge progression tests (grades 3-6)
2. ACER Progressive Achievement Test for International Schools

Results in these examinations

Our students generally do very well in assessments.

Do teachers assign homework to their students?

Yes. Our main homework is reading. All students must read daily at home. We also provide a learning journal and take they must complete each week. Additional homework may be given for students who need extra help or for those in upper primary as they prepare for secondary school.

Approximate hours of homework given

We recommend reading 15-20 minutes a day at a minimum for ALL STUDENTS.
At Primary level - other homework can be completed within the week and should not take more than 1 hour to complete.
Secondary level (lower)- 30-60 minutes daily reading and homework

Percentage of students who pursue further education post-graduation

We have not had a graduate complete high school yet.

Dedicated staff/programs for students with special learning needs

We are able to cater for students personal needs due to our small class sizes and caring, professional educators. However we do not have teacher aides or specialist teachers who can support children with higher level needs requiring one on one support during lessons.

The school supports gifted, able and talented students

We provide many opportunities for talented or gifted students through multiage grouping classes and collaborative sessions (particularly in mathematics and reading). Students who are more advanced will learn in a group at a higher level with predominantly older students.

Student access to education psychologist

We have a psychologist in the school.

Entry evaluation for students

Yes. We have a child assessment and a family assessment.

Brief description of entry evaluation required
