Teaching approach of the school |
CIS follows the British Curriculum from Early Years to Key Stage 4. In Early Years, children learn through play. In Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) children learn independence, responsibility and the fundamentals of literacy and numeracy. In Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) they are taught the knowledge and skills enabling them to succeed in secondary education. In Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9) students study a wide range of subjects before opting for IGCSE subjects at the end of Year 9. In Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) students continue to study English, Maths and ICT alongside either Science or Business based IGCSE options, sitting the internationally recognised IGCSE exams at the end of Year |
