About the school
Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
We are dedicated to offering all our learners an outstanding, rich and varied experience where they will join our welcoming and diverse school community with students, parents and teachers coming from over 40 different nationalities. We aim to support all our children to become flourishing, confident, lifelong learners who enjoy a broad range of interests. They study a stimulating curriculum which merges the best of the English National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. Primary children are immersed in the philosophy of the IB through the Primary Years Programme whilst our secondary students follow a broad and interesting curriculum leading to IGCSEs during Years 10 and 11, moving on to the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 and 13 to prepare them for the challenges of further education. Regardless of the curriculum though, we want them to have fun and to love their learning with us! |
Teaching approach of the school |
At Sukhumvit 107 we are committed to recruiting highly experienced and qualified teachers who are passionate about their subject and the demands of teaching students who will go out into a fast evolving global world. Our teachers are open-minded, eager to learn new skills, techniques and pedagogies and work with students to make new discoveries across disciplines with active and collaborative learning techniques. We, in turn, are passionate about developing and supporting our teaching staff, with team building activities, workshops, conferences and lectures by leading educators. We are also fortunate to have the ability to call on the vast knowledge and experience within the global Cognita schools network. In our quest to employ only the best talent, we pay close attention to professional experience, formal education, length of job tenure and ongoing commitment to professional development when recruiting. |
