To be exited from ESL, the student needs to demonstrate the language and skills necessary to work independently in the mainstream classroom. All ESL students are required to attend summer school. TRIS provides a comprehensive curriculum for K-12 students as directed by the California Department of Education. In order to strengthen our Mathematics and Science program, TRIS has also partnered with the University of California at Berkeley, incorporating its Great Exploration of Math and Science (GEMS) curriculum. Moreover, TRIS provides values education to our students as prescribed by the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Department of Education. An emphasis is placed on meaningful application of facts rather than rote-memory. |
