As a new school that is almost completing its full year of operations, we thank you for all your feedback as a founding family.
To successfully complete our first year in the middle of a global pandemic has been challenging. As Cameron Fox, our Founding Head of School has shared, it also says a lot about the determination we have here.
It's been an important milestone for all of us as we’ve brought to life VERSO’s first community of learners, who have taken many first steps with us this year - from being immersed in new learning spaces, both at school and at home, both in-person and online. They've been pushed to learn in unusual ways with their learning designers, or teachers as we call them, and we are proud of how adaptive, agile and creative they have all been. These are some of the many future-ready skills that will help them navigate through this unpredictable world.
Finding out who we are, getting a deeper understanding of what interests our students, focusing on the development of our students' mindsets and behaviors were all important investments we made at beginning of the year to lay the foundation for what learning is at VERSO.
We have so much to look forward to in the next school year, including opening our Upper Loop program for Grades 9-10 and welcoming our new Learning Designers and staff.
