Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
AESA Prep Academy of Barcelona is an international, American high school that offers grades 9 to 12. Our campus forms part of the AESA International School System, with schools in Texas and online. Our school is accredited worldwide by Cognia (formerly known as AdvancED/SACS) and our core curriculum is approved by the NCAA. Also, the Genralitat of Catalonia has recognized AESA as an international school. The student body at our Barcelona campus is extremely multi-cultural. Students come from all over the globe, creating a truly unique learning environment where our students learn from each other, as well as how to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world. |
Teaching approach of the school |
We maintain a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Our small classes enable faculty to provide individual attention to students and adapt to their needs. Our educational model allows for additional flexibility in the academic schedule of student athletes and performing artists. AESA’s rigorous academics prepare students for success at the university level, whether they plan to go to the USA, Europe, or anywhere around the world. Many of our student athletes seek scholarship opportunities to universities in the US, and we have extensive experience helping students follow this path. |
