Each class in ECE and Primary have a fully qualified Chinese teacher who work collaboratively with a fully qualified Western teacher from a native English speaking country in line with the School’s Co-Teaching Model. School also allows one-to-one teaching assistance where needed at an additional cost. |

Homework is an integral part of the curriculum and is planned and prepared alongside all other learning programmes. Teachers will give homework according to the age, ability, and circumstances of the students, taking into account individual learning needs. |

We believe that involvement in clubs and organizations is as essential as what students do in the classroom. Our diverse and exciting Co-Curricular and Sports Programmes are an integral part of life at YCIS Beijing. Some activities are free while others may have a fee attached to them. CCAs are run by both teachers and outside vendors. The activities include Baking, Aero Modeling, Arts and Crafts, Lego Club, Robotics, Minecraft, Kung Fu, Tennis, Hip-hop Dancing. In Secondary our students also compete in a range of sporting disciplines by taking part in events organised by ISAC (International Schools Athletic Conference) and ACAMIS (Association of China and Mongolia International Schools). The events take students to major cities in China to compete in sports such as basketball, golf, volleyball, soccer, badminton and swimming. |

Students in Secondary partake and are assessed in a range of activities throughout their time in the Physical Education department. These include, but are not limited to, football, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, swimming and fitness. |

Every inch of the campus is used to its full potential. |
