Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Knightsbridge Schools International Bogota is an IB World School, for students aged 4-18 years. The School is located in the north of Bogota on a 3.5 hectare campus, equipped with state of the art facilities. KSI has a commitment to student excellence, and we connect our students with experiences, perspectives, and people from all over the world. This allows us to provide a truly international curriculum and experience. Our students also benefit tremendously from our role as part of this network through deeper collaboration opportunities and greater access to resources. If you are looking for a school where your child can thrive and achieve both academic and personal growth.
KSI is characterised for being a school with few students, that way we can focus on everyone of them and help them grow. Also, it has been an advantage for the online programme; the students have contact with the teachers and haven't had the necessity to divide the groups to have the online classes.

Teaching approach of the school

We offer 90% of our classes in English, complying with the IB curriculum (PYP, DP) and the Colombian Ministry of Education requirements
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It is a framework guided by six interdisciplinary themes of global significance. Students deepen their learning by developing their conceptual understandings, strengthening their knowledge and skills across and beyond subject areas.
For our students for Y7- Y 11 we provide a framework of learning which encourages students to establish practical connections between their studies and the real world. The framework encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers.

We offer the Diploma Programme (DP) (Year 12 -13) which is aimed at preparing students for success at university and life beyond and has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities. The curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. The programme aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically. Students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service.
Our curriculum also includes active methodologies, which include a project based learning and online resources and classes. These allows students to have more tools available for their academic development.
