Information technology plays an important role in the daily life of students at BISB, whether it is learning new skills in ICT lessons, using technology as a tool when working on other subjects, using the school learning platform, using email to communicate or accessing the internet for information.
BISB is equipped with a high capacity wifi network which enables access to the Internet anywhere in the building, we have 2 ICT suites and numerous portable devices to support learning.
Students in years 2 to 9 have access to their own school iPad for use as a tool in school. The iPads will be used to facilitate collaboration, research, multimedia presentations, translation and an understanding of the capabilities of mobile technology. Older students are increasingly encouraged to bring their own portable device to use as a tool for learning.

Learning

In Years 10 and 11, students study for IGCSE certificates. In Years 12 and 13, students study for the IB Diploma. This is a challenging two-year course of study which, if successful, culminates in the award of the IB Diploma. The IB Diploma is one of the most highly regarded programmes for entry into universities across the world.
