Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
At Miftah An-Nur we are dedicated to nurturing and developing intelligent, creative and God-conscious young people through a broad, balanced and personalised education experience that anchors and inspires our pupils spiritually and academically for the rest of their lives. Blending the best of the British National Curriculum with our Bruneian heritage and Islamic values, our specially modified curriculum encourages pupils to build on their existing knowledge and skills, ensuring a continuous and expansive learning journey that develops the child as a whole. We strive to adapt the curriculum wherever possible to meet the needs and strengths of our pupils, as well as providing opportunities for students to pursue their own interests and develop their particular talents in ways that work best for them. As a multilingual school, we also offer pupils the chance to learn in English, Malay and Arabic, adding to the strong foundations we aim to provide each and every one of them as we endeavour to cultivate accomplished, principled and thriving global citizens. |
Teaching approach of the school |
We advocate a play based learning approach to encourage and motivate the students to actively seek knowledge and develop critical thinking in the process. In those lessons, we incorporate the teachings of Islam and guide them accordingly so they may grow into striving, god-conscious people. |
