Our son (a native English speaker) has been at ACE for 3 years, after moving from a country where he was learning in another language and with a relatively low quality of teaching/education. We were concerned about how he would manage to get up to the right level in the Cambridge International system. We found from the outset that the teaching was of a very high standard and that the teachers clearly paid attention to and understood his individual personality and learning needs. He very rapidly not only reached the right standard but continues to excel. We were also struck by the inclusive nature of the school - the teachers seem to pay as much attention to social as academic development. As a result, bullying (common at his previous school) seems virtually unheard of and our son has developed strikingly mature social abilities - well informed, reflective, thoughtful, and kind. While I like to think we do a good job as parents, I have no doubt the school has contributed significantly in this regard.

My teenage son is loving being a student at ACE. He has grown in confidence as the school adapts the curriculum to meet his needs. He has individual support at all times in lessons as well as two private sessions a week with a speech and language therapist and an occupational therapist. Class sizes are very small and he has made some wonderful friends. The teachers are patient and understanding of the child's individual need. We are so happy to have found this school for our son.

This school is using disability as a business opportunity, relying on “revolving doors”, without having the needed knowledge, training, professionals and attitude, while asking for a steep fee. In case of our son, it has been exclusion with no SEN education provided despite the advertising, and no organising authority to monitor the activities. There were other families experiencing the same.
