Use of technology in the classroom

Technology plays an important role in the CSB classroom. All students take Computer Science classes from Year 1 to Year 9, and the school offers IGCSE, AS and A level classes in Computer Science as well. There are interactive white boards in every classroom, fully equipped Computer Science labs, and complements of educational tablets for use in classes, as well as VR Headsets and 3D printers to enhance the learning experience.

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSB never stopped teaching. We successfully translated classic school lessons to online teaching from EYFS to Year 13 from the first day of home isolation. This period of home isolation was a proof that we are always ready and well-prepared to face any kind of difficulties for our students’ best interests.

CSB provides every child with the best education possible. To support this, CSB has a full SEN department that works with Heads of School, teachers, students, and parents on forming individualised support for students in need. CSB also has relationships with additional specialists if further interference is needed.

We keep a register of AG&T students and they receive additional challenge and support from their teachers. We support our students in their endeavor to grow and use their skills by allowing them to access national and international competitions in multiple subjects such as Sports, Math and debate. Brief description of entry evaluation required

Prospective students from Nursery to Year 2 are interviewed by the Head of School on different areas of knowledge and abilities according to their age level. All candidates for Year 3 through 9 must pass entrance exams in English, Mathematics, and Science. Candidates applying for Year 10 to 13, from outside the Cambridge Curricula will have to sit placement exams in English, Mathematics, and Science.

A school day runs from 08:15 to 15:00 (15:45 for Key Stage 4 and 5 students) for a total of seven periods lasting 45 minutes each.

School finish time

School finishes at 14:30 in EYFS and Key Stage 1, 15:00 in Key Stage 2 and 3, and 15:45 for Key Stage 4 and 5 students. CSB offers a long programme for students in Nursery to Year 4, with the option to stay until 17:00 for an additional fee.
