All Verita International teachers are required to hold an Academic Degree(s) in Education with a valid teaching certificate, and have a at least two years of full-time classroom experience. Romanian teachers meet the same standards, with at least two years of full-time teaching experience, preferably in a UK, US, or international school setting.

Approximately 50% of Verita staff are international teachers.

Our school has a well-established EAL (English as an Additional Language) program for primary students. In secondary, as students are expected to have already achieved proficiency, we focus on differentiated instruction to meet individual language needs.

English is the primary language of instruction at Verita, with additional language offerings in Romanian and French starting in Primary School, and Spanish starting in Secondary School.

The maximum number of students per class is 20, as set by the principal to ensure personalised attention and a quality learning experience for each student.

Starting in Year 1, students are taught Information and Communications Technology (ICT) by a specialist teacher once a week, with each child having access to a personal tablet or laptop during these lessons. Shared devices are available for broader educational activities, and technology is integrated across all year groups in an age-appropriate manner to enhance learning.

Verita has adopted the GL assessment system as part of their commitment to providing high-quality assessments that align with British National standards. The GL assessments offer a tailored approach to measuring student progress and identifying areas for improvement, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed in their academic journey.

Results are being sent to parents individually for each child.

At Verita, we believe regular, balanced homework is important for reinforcing learning, building skills, and developing the personal initiative needed for success in education and adult life.

Homework time can vary from 20 minutes to 2 hours ( for older children ).

Over 80% of our graduates go on to pursue further education after graduation.

We can integrate a limited number of students with additional needs per class, in order to maintain the highest standard of care.

The Learning Support team at Verita School coordinates programs and services for students with additional needs, based on the DIR/Floortime model. This developmental model offers a holistic child approach, taking into account their individual differences and fostering emotional connection through relationships.

At this moment we don’t have a program for gifted/talented children.

VIS has school counselors and a team of SEL specialists who are offering psychological support to the students and who is periodically evaluating them.

Your child will be invited to spend 1,5 hours, half day, one or two days at school (depending on the age of the child) The trial day/ days will include playtime, assessments-tests / interview/classroom time.

Early years and Year 1 children will be assessed in a playdate of 1.5 hours, and we will use a variety of age-appropriate tools. The purpose of the playdate is to help determine the nature of the support needed rather than entry to the school.

Year 2 & year 3 students will be offered a full day of trial that will include the CAT 4 test and after lunch, classroom time.

Year 4 & up will be offered a 2-day trial day that will include CAT 4 test + GL test - both in the morning in 2 consecutive days and classroom time after lunch.

High school students will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, considering their evaluation report, application, current school / curriculum, etc. They will have a 2-day trial if they will be accepted to follow the admissions process.

If there are no places available, your child’s file will be placed on the waiting list and will be processed when a place becomes available or after the re-enrolment period has finished (end of February).

There is no deadline for registration at Verita International School.

New enrolments can be made at any time throughout the year depending on the availability of the places in school.

Verita understands that a strong and active athletics program is pivotal to the education and character development of its students. Our program is dedicated to providing the best possible facilities and learning environment for the physical, cognitive and social development of its student-athletes.
In our campus, we have multiple green spaces for various athletic programs such as handball and volleyball, 3 football fields, 2 basketball courts. The students can play soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, but also use the fields for free play.

Children who participated in the Karate & Aikido classes took part in the competitions and belt tests organised by the club that provides the workshops.

In addition to sports facilities, our school offers a variety of other amenities, including a Primary & Middle School Library, IB Library, Science Lab, Music Room, Art Room, Sensory Room, and a Sleeping Room.

At our school, we offer the following sports facilities: 3 Football sports fields, 1 multi-sport field, 2 basketball fields, and 2 winter domes.
