Our school reinforces the acquisition of the German language through other subjects in addition to German lessons. DaF, i.e. German as a foreign language, plays a major role in this in order to promote language development. In addition, Rahn Schulen Kairo focuses on more intensive language acquisition by offering library and remedial classes in elementary school. Due to the school's focus on the arts, the subjects of music, choir, sports, and arts are also taught in German . The creative method of the subjects supports the language development. |

Teachers assign homework to students in the end of the lesson. Furthermore, the homework is assigned in the digital classbook where students and parents have access to check it. In case of online lessons, the homework is also signed in Microsoft Teams which we use for digital lessons. The amount of time is always depending on the required task. Normally, homework has to be done until the next lesson. In case of a bigger task as a project, the amount of time will be prolonged. |

Kindergarten: Testing of the German language skills is taking place only in Vorschule (preschool). In all other years the language capability is made systematically by everyday use of the German language. During the trial day, the teachers are observing the motoric abilities, the social skills and behavior in general.
