Brief description of entry evaluation required

Children applying for preschool and early years are not required to have prior knowledge of English but preference will always be given to those who do.
Pupils applying for places in Year 1 should have some knowledge of English and Math.
Pupils applying for places in Year 2 must have prior knowledge of English. At this age they will be expected to know how to read and write.
Pupils applying for places in Year 3 and above should have a good command of spoken and written English. Previous school report and entrance tests in English and Mathematics will be required. Parents and pupils are interviewed at the school by a member of senior staff.

Clubs are held every Tuesday for one hour after school. A full list of the available activities is sent home at the beginning of every term which normally includes; Jewelry making, Ball Games, Tennis, Swimming (seasonal), Computer, Music and Instrument playing, Ballet, Languages (French and Spanish), Board Games, Roller Skating, Drama, Library, Photography, Horse and Pony Riding, Oil Painting, Charcoal Drawing, Fitness, Koran Recital, Karate and Martial Arts, Science, Cooking.

2. The Continental International School: The CIS is a British International School that follows the British National Curriculum.
3. The Continental School of Cairo: The CSC is a small British special education school for children with learning difficulties and special educational needs.
