Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

Chiang Mai Montessori International School is a small independent international school offering children and their families an excellent alternative to the conventional education system in Northern Thailand. Modern and large classrooms with plenty of daylight in a 'green' spacious environment

Teaching approach of the school

Montessori is a constructivist approach to education and ‘follows the child’. The classrooms are calm and harmonious environments designed for children from the ground up. Children in Montessori schools learn that freedom and responsibility go hand-in-hand, while academic subjects, such as math, reading and writing commence from an early age using simple, effective, practical methods. Children work at their own pace which enables them to be much more motivated to learn.
