A range of support is available to allow all students to progress academically, this includes differentiation within class, small group interventions and individual support. However, some students may require a higher level of support which would be provided by a parent funded 1:1 assistant appointed by the school. |
The school supports gifted, able and talented students |
HAIS provides a range of exciting extension activities for those who are gifted and talented both within the school day and as part of the ECA programme. HAIS wants students to be passionate about their abilities and have a chance to shine. This will include international competitions like Primary Maths Challenge which provides challenging maths questions that will stretch the most able mathematicians in school. This year HAIS will begin its Tournament of Minds ECA which will provide students the opportunity to work with other students across the school to solve complex problems and devise ways present their ideas creatively. Over time HAIS will compete against other schools in Vietnam and internationally. |

Brief description of entry evaluation required |
There is no formal entrance exam to register at HAIS for students entering the primary and lower secondary level. However, they will be required to take an English placement test to determine their language level and if they might need additional language support. Students entering the upper secondary level will be required to take a formal entrance exam covering the minimum subjects of English, Mathematics, and Science. |
