Students with Arabic nationalities make up about 75% of our student population.

The Qatari students are about 10-12% of our student population.

Our teachers are recruited primarily locally hired in Qatar, although we also recruit internationally as needed. Some are native speakers, some are non-native speakers but are proficient in English.

Yes, additional sections for assistance are offered for both English and Arabic. In addition, teachers are generous with their time at lunch and after school to provide extra time for teaching and learning.

Students of all faiths are welcome. MIS ensures that the Qatari Islamic values are respected. Islamic Studies is the subject that is offered to our Muslim students, in line with the local Ministry of Education's curriculum guidelines.

Yes, we have an SEN program. MIS believes in inclusion in mainstream classrooms. We keep our case load not more than 15 every school year to ensure that we are able to adequately provide for those students with special learning needs.

Although the majority of the school are students who are mainstreamed, we do offer ample services for students with disabilities.

Yes, we do. We use MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) screening tests. Students are tested in English (reading and writing) and math.

The outcome of their admission test results, their previous school report cards and recommendations are all factors for consideration in the acceptance of a student. On as-needed basis, our section principal or Head of School may meet with a new student and their parents to discuss any conditional admissions.

Registration is open through October in Qatar, and new student applications begin as early as March each year.
