GEMS American Academy Qatar
The following qualities and characteristics define GEMS American Academy Qatar:
• ACCREDITATION: GEMS American Academy is a fully-accredited NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) school that is internationally recognized by colleges and universities around the world.
• PARENT SATISFACTION: Received highest parent satisfaction rating among K – 12 GEMS Education schools across their international network (2 years in a row)
• INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED: Garnered distinction as one of the “Top 10 Best International Schools in Qatar” as well as the “Most Valuable School to Watch in the Middle East” by American magazine - The Knowledge Review.
• DIVERSITY: Home to 78 student nationalities and 19 teacher nationalities (educators mostly recruited from the United States and Canada).
• ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: Recipients of Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) “School Sustainability” award as well as just the 3rd Qatar school to receive the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) Eco- Schools Green Flag Award. GAAQ is the only school in Qatar with a NAAAS-certified aquaponic greenhouse.
• FLEXIBLE EDUCATION: The big difference with the American curriculum, in comparison with the British education system and CBSE (India) is that students in an American school do not experience the immense pressure of a comprehensive singular final exam. Therefore, students have less stress around the academics and have a large opportunity to pace themselves comfortably in order to progress more dynamically throughout the semester.
• COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY PLACEMENT: Parents and students work with a professional school counselor to guide them throughout the college application process to colleges and universities around the world. Thus, parents and students feel less pressure as they have a trusted point-of-contact for advice and questions along the way.
• FUN, SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT: GAAQ scholars LOVE to come to school! Students wear uniforms, but have an opportunity to show school spirit each month through themed spirit days that range from crazy sock day to favorite sports jersey day. In addition, students and staff celebrate other notable days like Earth Day and United Nations Day that require dress down days. Lastly, the staff is professional, accessible and easy to get along with.

The Hamilton International School
The Hamilton International School is part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), a UK-based owner and operator of over 62 schools globally. Hamilton first opened its doors in August 2019. Today, the school caters to over 80 different nationalities with 150 staff members from 26 different nationalities.
The Hamilton International School is open on a large state-of-the-art campus in Mesaimeer, Doha. Hamilton boasts a range of world-class facilities, including the largest theatre of any school in Qatar, a dedicated indoor sports center, outside sporting facilities, state-of-the-art science laboratories, ICT suites, music and production facilities, STEM and creative arts-focused rooms. Fully-fledged music and performing arts programs are nurtured to give every child the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their confidence.
Currently open to children from Pre-KG to Grade 10, the school will grow each year to eventually offer education from Pre-KG to Grade 12.
The school’s vision is 'to ignite students’ passion, to pursue their purpose and forever chase a limitless potential. This has been the cornerstone of the school since it was established in 2019 and drives many school-based decisions. As a school, we are committed to developing the spirit of excellence and sound character in our students through innovative, well-balanced education. Last year, we reviewed our core values through consultation with staff and SLT. The seven core values essentially give our learner profile and are represented by the seven stars on our school badge. Moving forward, we will create a values rubric with milestones for each value showing how this will be evidenced as a child moves from PreKG to Grade 12.
At Hamilton, we are committed to providing amazing learning which embraces the individuality of each learner and is centered around getting better. We support student learning through a robust, children-focused curriculum, and enriching extra-curricular programs. At Hamilton, we focus relentlessly on each child's ability to amaze. We are a lively, busy, happy, and hardworking school where we support our students to develop a love of learning and achieve to the best of their ability.
