Repton School Dubai
Repton School is an innovative international school which has a very strong and distinctly British flavour based on the 450 year history of our sister school in the UK.
Repton espouses the notion that every child is important. Repton is a large school, but within it every child is cherished, nurtured and prized for their individuality.
We offer the best in British education, within the context of an international boarding community, and epitomised by the school’s philosophy of ‘the best for every child’.
We are proud of both our 21st century international nature and of the traditions and core values which have been derived from our partnership with Repton in Derbyshire, England. Repton School’s 450 year history has enabled it to develop a mature and effective school; we are fortunate to have been able to draw on the educational knowledge and expertise from our sister school and thus combine the very best of the new with the very best of the British educational system.
With state of the art, modern facilities and amenities, Repton School is situated on a spacious campus of 1.3million sqft, making it the largest school in the region.
Pupils aged between three and eighteen years benefit from an English independent school curriculum that incorporates elements of the English National Curriculum.
Our clear aim and purpose is to provide the best teaching and learning environment in which all our pupils will achieve their very best academically, physically and socially. By working closely with all our parents we will together help to develop young people who will have all the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly changing, highly competitive and global society.
Our international location gives our pupils greater selection in their tertiary education. To meet these opportunities, we have staff and resources to assist our pupils in exploring their options in global education.
Whilst excellence is pursued, Repton espouses the notion that every child is important. Repton is a large school, but within it every child is cherished, nurtured and prized for their individuality. An exceptionally wide range of opportunities allows every child to find those things he or she will excel at and the superb facilities give the children the chance to develop those talents. Our approach to motivating and getting the best out of our pupils is based on the belief that praise and encouragement lead to confidence. This confidence is then realised in academic success and the proliferation of a happy, caring community where good behaviour, excellent manners, enthusiasm and a love of learning are the norm.
We aim to give all our pupils the educational tools to succeed in whatever field they choose to further their path of learning. Through our encouragement of achievement and, equally important, independence of thought as well as action, pupils will develop a sense of personal responsibility and readiness for the demands of a rapidly changing world.

Universal American School
Universal American School was founded in 2005. Since then we have served our students every day, helping them become compassionate, confident learners who know who they are and what they stand for. As you learn more about UAS the term “community” will resonate with you again and again. We are a small, not-for-profit school in the heart of family-friendly Festival City. There is a wonderful feeling about our school which comes from our mission: To Nurture an International Community of Integrity and Academic Excellence.
Equally exciting is that UAS has recently become a not-for-profit school governed by the Al Futtaim Education Foundation. There are two
important developments here. The first is that parents will know that any surplus generated by their school fees will be put back into the school. The second is that working alongside an organization like Al Futtaim, we are uniquely positioned to provide real-world learning experiences to our students that other schools simply cannot offer. Universal American School is a wonderful place to grow and learn.
Whether you want to participate in our Fringe Festival, one of our four annual school productions, watch one of our 30+ sports teams, debate politics with our Model United Nations students, or learn about our Emirati committee or the National Honor Society, UAS has something to offer everyone. I invite everyone to come visit our school and feel the wonderful energy here.

Dubai English Speaking College
DESC is a vibrant, successful, inclusive community of students, teachers, parents, and alumni who tackle today’s most pressing challenges with courage and creativity.
We understand that the greatest gift we can give our children is the joy of learning in an environment where they are known, heard, safe and appropriately challenged, and where their little quirks make them special.
For more than 60 years, our hub of learning and growth has been transforming lives with a powerful combination of British education and the not-for-profit status freedom to invest every surplus dirham straight back into enhancing our school.
It enables us to provide an incubator for ability and ambition, where endeavour and discipline sit alongside decency, respect, kindness, and empathy.
We feel remendously privileged to be able to watch tomorrow’s creators, thinkers, and pioneers as they work out how they want to make their mark on the world.
Guided by an amazing team of passionate professionals, we never forget that we are more than just an ‘Outstanding’ school. Yes, we strive for superb academic outcomes, sporting triumph and artistic expression. But we also understand the importance of looking beyond the narrow confines of exams, tournaments, and theatre to define our success.
Ultimately, our school is exceptional because we make it about people and the wellbeing that is fundamental to a child’s success. At the heart of DESS Oud Metha are values of mutual respect, encouragement, and trust, which together create the happy and close-knit community in which everyone has a chance to flourish academically, physically, and emotionally.
We know that to be truly successful children must value diversity, equity, and sustainability. They need to be responsible, enthusiastic, and empowered, placing collaboration above division.
In the face of an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world, education can make the difference as to whether a child rises or succumbs to the challenges that confront them. Now more than ever before children need the broadest possible set of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values.
From classrooms to play areas, we believe that our school facilities have a key role to play in the learning experience we provide and so we continually invest in new and existing equipment and spaces to encourage participation and endeavour.
Our rich extra-curricular programme includes a huge choice of activities and opportunities for every child to pursue their passions and discover new interests. These personalised activities not only enhance skills and discipline but also help to build the spirit, emotional resilience, and character our students need to develop good judgment, demonstrate courage and integrity, and have a deep sense of respect for themselves and others.
Our House system also has a pivotal role to play. One of the main benefits of being part of either Jaguar, Leopard, Lynx, or Panther house is the opportunity it provides children of all ages to work together and contribute to a kind and connected environment. The sense of self-belief and belonging that radiates from our House ‘families’ plays a major role in reassuring children that they belong and have the support of their peers. It also removes any ‘small fish - big pond’ fears that can sometimes be felt - particularly by children who join from smaller primary school environments.
We make sure inclusion courses through our veins, and we are passionate about improving education for all and providing children with the best start in life. We aim to develop self-worth, mutual respect, and enjoyment in the process of learning, and we make sure the quality of a DESS primary education is guaranteed by targeting barriers and addressing needs.
Finally, wellbeing has a major role to play in making DESS a special place to learn and live. We prioritise health and strive to create flourishing children, teachers, and families through a broad range of progressive and effective wellbeing initiatives and strategies. For children, our Wellbeing Team works hard to teach social, emotional and wellness skills that help them to recognise and understand their bodies and minds and spot early warning signs before fatigue and illness strike. Our Wellbeing Lead is always looking to share the latest thinking and trends and creates bespoke lessons to support our children’ personal, social, moral, and emotional development.

We offer a high-quality and engaging curriculum, enriched to meet the needs of our culturally diverse community. Our curriculum is driven by our children and is tailored to their interests, through topic and project learning, which ensures all of our children are equipped with the necessary tools to make as much progress as possible.
At Aquila, our core belief is AMAZING LEARNING. We empower our teachers to teach the children what they need to learn right now, making the curriculum more individualised and relevant to our children. Our staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child makes as much progress as possible and that lessons are engaging, memorable, fun and relevant, underpinned by academic rigour
As a community school we work closely together, valuing happiness and school connectedness, guiding families on how to help their children at home, to provide the very best education possible and ensuring that children love coming to school.
Our vision-
SAFE – HAPPY – LEARNING

Our mission –
• Lessons that promote enquiry, innovative thinking, making decisions and problem solving lead our pupils to be independent, creative and resilient learners.
• Engaging, memorable and fun lessons, underpinned by academic rigour ensure every pupil makes as much progress as possible. Teachers are empowered to teach pupils what they need to learn right now.
• A community school where courtesy and respectful relationships are key to our success. Through collaboration with families and school connectedness our pupils love coming to school and love learning. We aspire to be the school of choice for the community we serve.
• Our pupils are safe, supervised and well cared for at all times- pupils know that the first priority of every adult in school is their well-being.
This is what matters in our school-
1. Our children are safe, supervised and well cared for at all times- children know that the first priority of every adult in school is their well being
2. Amazing learning is key, lessons are enjoyable and relevant

Why choose The Aquila School?
The Aquila School provides a supportive and engaging international environment, delivering an exciting and creative curriculum, which is based on the National Curriculum for England (NCE), combining science, technology, maths, and the arts, as part of a broader curriculum.
Opportunities to understand and celebrate the culture and heritage of the UAE and the diversity of our local community are integrated into the curriculum, and we also focus learning through enquiry – children make things, take things apart, and discover how things work!
We are the flagship school for International Schools Partnership - a global family of 50 schools across thirteen countries (and growing). Being part of this group ensures The Aquila School has outstanding international learning connections, quality assurance and excellent governance.
The Aquila School has been rated as Outstanding by British School Overseas (BSO) across all of its eight areas of assessment. The Outstanding grading this early on in a school’s operation is rare and The Aquila Team is very proud of this achievement.
Amazing Learning is our core purpose. You will see learning that will amaze you. Wherever you think your child might be in any subject or area, we will do all we can to allow them to do better than you can ever imagine possible.
For the last ten years, The Aquila School’s Principal and Head of Primary have worked together, beginning their journey at the first-ever school in Abu Dhabi to have been graded as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, and the only primary school to be awarded outstanding twice.
We have recently appointed Benjamin Atkins as our Head of Secondary who brings extensive knowledge and experience to further develop the Secondary School at The Aquila School, ensuring even more success for the pupils who attend the school.
We are all very excited to have this opportunity to set up The Aquila School ‘from the ground up’ creating a caring and happy environment to encourage Amazing Learning in all children, which is central to everything we do at The Aquila School.
As a new school, we are privileged to have a range of brand new, top-class facilities, including an auditorium, two multi-purpose sports halls, two heated and chilled swimming pools (with weekly swimming from FS1 to year 6) a dance studio, three well-stocked libraries with thousands of books, music and art rooms, food technology and design technology rooms, shaded outdoor play areas, and a multi-purpose astro pitch. We also have specialist KS3 rooms such as ICT suite and science laboratories.
Our spacious, well-resourced classrooms and learning areas are filled with natural light, providing excellent conditions for learning. We look forward to opening a new building with exciting facilities in 2023.
All of our class teachers are native English speakers and bring with them many years of UK/ international experience. Some of our teachers have also worked with the Leadership Team at their previous outstanding school.
The Aquila School offers a wide range of CAS (community, action, service (sometimes called ECAs)) activities to help cultivate the individual interests and talents of children and develop social skills.
For activities run by our staff we ask the children what they want as we value pupil choice and design a programme around this. In addition, we use IFA Sport, an external provider for additional paid-for activities such as additional swimming, football, dance, and so on.
We communicate well with our families. You will always know how well your child is progressing. We provide twice yearly detailed reports on your child’s academic progress, and social and emotional wellbeing, as well as regular learning snapshots.
There are regular opportunities for families to come and see their children’s work in class and talk informally with the teachers about their child’s learning.
The weekly newsletter lets families know what the children are learning and how they can support at home.

Al Salam Private School
Salam Nursery was established in 1985 and operated out of a small villa near Al Ghurair Center. By 1988, Al Salam Private School was established with the opening of a KG section in a villa adjacent to the nursery. As the school expanded, the classes were extended to Year 3.
The school grew rapidly and with the growth came a demand for more space. As a result, the nursery section was moved to Al Muteena Street. The school and nursery were then relocated to a new 4 villa complex in Hor Al Anz, opposite Hamriyah Park and extended to Year 6.
By the Grace of Allah, in 2000 the school started construction of its own building in Al Nahda 2 – Al Ghusais, that was to include the nursery, primary and secondary sections. The school came to its present location in 2002 and continues to expand and grow for the better.

Al Diyafah High School
Al Diyafah High School was founded 34 years ago, in September 1982, by Late Mrs. Winnie D’Cunha. It started as a Nursery with only 2 children in a small villa located on Al Diyafah Street, in Dubai. That’s how it got its name. To accommodate the growing numbers, the school moved to a new campus in 2001, where it is presently located.
The students are offered a wide range of subjects from the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. The primary section has progressed to a very competent senior school and as the vision continues to take flight, it now moves on to greater heights.
The school’s objective is best expressed through its mission statement of attempting to create competent, caring and confident students through its holistic based education. The students actively support social issues like environment, literacy, relief and endeavor to become leaders in their own right. Such an all-rounded system of education has helped Diyafah produce an ever- increasing list of alumni who have gained admissions in several Universities in Canada, USA, Australia and the sub-continent.
