The Senior School employs a 1:1 BYOD laptop programme. Students in grades 6-8 use MacBooks, whereas, 9-12 have the option to bring the computer of their choice.

Students have access to a wide array of technology tools to maximise their learning, creatively express themselves, and prepare for success after ISD. In addition to utilising the applications found in the Apple Suite (iMovie, GarageBand) to foster creativity, ISD is a Google Apps for Education (GMail, Calendar, Classroom, Drive, etc) to facilitate productivity. Students have access to industry standard applications from Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Autodesk (Fusion 360, Maya, Sketchbook) and internationally recognised data collection tools from Vernier and Pasco.

At ISD, we value inclusivity, and we want to give every student who wants to engage in the Diploma Programme the chance to learn, grow, mature, and achieve ambitious goals. Each year, more than 90% of students in grade 11 and 12 are enrolled in the programme.
Thanks to the incredible dedication of our teachers, the ISD IB scores are consistently well above world averages, which is remarkable because many IB schools offer the Diploma Programme as a selective programme. In the ISD class of 2022, 99% of our candidates earned the IB Diploma. Additionally, ISD students regularly achieve outstanding personal scores, including the otherwise very rare scores of 44 or 45 on a maximum of 45 possible points.
