At Collège du Léman, we believe there is no substitute for great teaching. We use technology to enhance our inspirational lessons, not to replace them.
From an early age, students have access to tablets in class and learn how to use it safely. As they get older, they receive their own devices, which they can use to take notes, research subjects, and carry out assignments.

Collège du Léman Learning Support department assists students with diagnosed specific learning needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADD and ADHD.
We strongly believe that all students deserve a high-quality education within a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum so that they can reach their potential, enhance their self-esteem, and maintain their interest and enjoyment in their studies. All Collège du Léman students can benefit from our expertise as we use a wide range of teaching techniques.
We work in close collaboration with parents, classroom teachers, external therapists and school counsellors to ensure students’ educational needs are being met.

Learning support offered
|
Learning Support specialized SEN (Special Educational Needs) teachers offer classes in Numeracy, Literacy and Study Skills for both Middle School and High School from Grade 6 to 12. Small groups are taught in our classrooms, which are fully equipped with the newest effective learning resources, including interactive whiteboards, all providing a multisensory hands-on learning experience.
Progress is monitored regularly and programmes are altered to suit the needs of the student.

As part of our Admissions process, our team of academic, pastoral and learning support specialists review all applications (including previous academic and pastoral records) and evaluate the availability of an appropriate place and of any support services that might be required (for example language skills or learning support needs). Additionally, boarding students are asked to submit video interview questions.

Our internal fleet of more than 30 buses pick up many of our students every day, as close to their homes as possible. These buses are equipped with wifi, and our GPS tracking enables us to monitor our routes so that we can get the children to school as quickly as possible.

Sports facilities at the school

Our Olympus gymnasium is home to our Panthers Basketball team and the outstanding Athletics team. All our students enjoy the gym as an integral part of their curriculum. Our boarding students also have access to a well-equipped fitness centre. We have active tennis and football teams. Students benefit from coaching on extensive tennis courts and football fields. CDL also owns 2 Surprise class sailboats, and students can learn to sail. Lake Geneva offers a spectacular setting surrounded by the Jura mountains and the Alps.

Boarding

Students relax and sleep in attractive residential villas, which accommodate up to 250 students. Your child will share a room with between one and three other students, and boarding students are encouraged to decorate their rooms to suit their tastes.
