About the school

Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

The Groningse Schoolvereniging (GSV) is a regional primary school with a bilingual (lessons in English and Dutch) and an International Department which teaches entirely in English. This school is called International Primary School.
The International Primary School welcomes children from all over the world and provides a quality curriculum tailored to meet the children's diverse learning needs. We celebrate our diversity and are interested in learning about children's home cultures and languages. We work with children to help them become world citizens, committed to the country they are in today, respectful of the diversity of people they share the school and country with and enriched by the other places they have lived and have cultural connections with.

Teaching approach of the school

IPS GSV Looks carefully at children's individual learning needs and helps all children to meet the learning targets of the curriculum. The school teaches children to set high standards for themselves in a challenging, caring and stimulating learning environment. We work with children to understand the world as they find it and develop confidence and a thoughtful approach to the action they take in the world.
