Yes

Approximate hours of homework given

This varies greatly by age and the courses selected by students at Secondary. We follow a ten minute per age level for elementary starting at six year olds. Six year olds would have 10 minutes of homework, seven year olds would have 20 minutes, etc. Independent reading and Chinese language practice may be added to this based on the student need and level.
As students enter Middle School and Secondary, they will have greater responsibilities in homework and the work will vary based on the courses they select. If students elect to take Advanced Placement (AP) Courses in Secondary, these are equivalent to University Level courses and have significantly higher homework expectations.

We have a 100% university acceptance rate.

Dedicated staff/programs for students with special learning needs

We have a Learning Resource Teacher who is supported by a Regional Learning Resource Coordinator to support special learning needs. Learning support offered

The Learning Resource Teacher will work with the student, the family and the teachers to develop and monitor a plan to meet the students' needs.

The school supports gifted, able and talented students

Students are placed in Literacy and Mathematics based on their readiness levels. Students can move up a year or more in Literacy or Mathematics. For example, a six year old student gifted in mathematics might be placed in the six year old homeroom class, but join the seven year old class for mathematics.
