My child is currently in Year 2 and is thriving at BSG. We are really happy with the quality of teaching at the school. My son enjoys school and the teachers are great at communicating with us about his progress and how we can support at home. They have a fantastic range of after school activities for my son to enjoy. Overall a fantastic school.

We chose BSG for our children after moving to Guangzhou, and were thoroughly impressed with many aspects of the school. While no school can be perfect, we found BSG to be a great fit for our family for a few reasons.
Both children had fantastic primary teachers during their time at the school. The teachers were easy to contact and talk to, and always had our childrens' best interest at heart. Their learning was challenging, fun, and the range of curriculum areas on offer was excellent. They had specialist teachers in a range of areas, especially in music, drama, and Mandarin, and these teachers were all very passionate about their areas, which reflected in the students' enthusiasm for the subject.

The level of care shown by the adults in my daughter’s class is exceptional. I am also very impressed with the learning that happens to support her growth. She has made progress that is above her age in all but one area. Her Mandarin tones are good and she has a good range of words/ phrases and simple songs all in Mandarin as her second language. The classrooms are really nice calm learning spaces and all the staff are warm and welcoming. My daughter loves to go to school!

My child attended BSG for two years. The school advertises itself as a provider of exceptional teaching and experiences. That isn’t the case.
Major points:
- quality of teaching varies greatly. The teacher my child got on their first year was OK. They were an observant and empathic person, and my child enjoyed learning with them.
- The second year teacher was not good. They shouted the children down. They told them not to argue or answer back, even if the children got confused with contradictory instructions. Bullying went on inside the classroom without eliciting any action from either teacher or assistant. Both had no empathy. The teacher also failed in their duty of care when my child got a small but quite painful injury and was denied access to the nurse. They mocked my child’s effort and scolded them for doing too much work rather than praising them. They even blamed the chi... read full review
