Anne Hill International School (AHI) was first established in 2015 in Ho Chi Minh City as a modest preschool with only six students. Fast-forward seven years, and we now offer both preschool and primary school programmes located in the quiet and lush green neighbourhood of An Phu, District 2 (renamed to Thu Duc City).

Yes, we offer English as an Additional Language (EAL) Support to students requiring extra support. The purpose of this programme is to provide targeted help to students to develop literacy in English. The programme will give additional attention to speaking, listening & comprehension of spoken English, reading & writing and learning through English. Students from age 5 and above who need the support will be identified during the assessment stage of the Admissions process. Following this, The Oxford Young Learners Placement Test is used to determine each child's current level. For students below 5 years old, EAL is not required upon enrolment; however, the child will be assessed during Kindergarten 1. This is to determine whether EAL support is compulsory to prepare them for primary school learning. |
Additional language classes offered by the school |
Currently, Vietnamese Language & Culture (VLC) and Mandarin are offered as 2nd Languages. Vietnamese class is compulsory for students of Vietnamese nationality. For other international students, they can choose to study either Vietnamese or Mandarin (lessons for both Vietnamese and Mandarin run concurrently). Lessons are conducted three times a week, for a duration of an hour or more, depending on the year level. Students will either learn the second language at the standard level or basic level. The class allocation of the child (basic or standard class) will be based on the following (by the language teachers) on class assessments and observations on the student’s learning in class. |

Meanwhile, at our Primary School Campus, we offer an array of facilities to enrich students' education. Our library fosters a passion for diverse literature, and specialist subject rooms, including an Art & Music Room and a 2nd Language Room, provide immersive learning environments. The AHI ICT Lab empowers digital literacy with 14 desktops. Our eco-garden and canteen embrace the farm-to-fork concept, educating students about the origins of their nutritious meals. |

At AHI, we believe that learning does not only happen in classrooms.
The primary school comprises of 8 classrooms, each measuring a minimum of 60 square metres with abundance of natural light. The classrooms are designed in such a way that collaborative learning and learning stations can be conducted effectively. This includes a library corner in every classroom and visual displays made by both teachers and students together.
The primary school campus also houses a variety of shared learning facilities such as the indoor rock wall, library, audio-visual room and sick bay. Located on the ground floor is an open assembly hall and a “Fuel Your Mind” coffee corner for both students and parents. The building’s open concept allows students to interact with their teachers and peers across different types of environments.
