(A science teacher who majored in biology taught physics. Therefore, students had to study by themselves. Because that teacher couldn’t explain well and just provided internet or YouTube links.)
• They need to make more effort to harmonize Westerns and Asians during classes.

Our son in CE1 SIA had an amazing year. His two teachers, Murphy & Aneesha, have done such a good job to bring up his academic knowledge, pushing more than the program when the child found it too easy but also to explore his artistic side.
The end of year show was of professional quality.

My two kids have been at FIS (French Stream) for 3 years and they are very happy. Facilities are great, teachers are top qualities, atmosphere is really good. All in all, an amazing school !

Our two kids have been at FIS since CP (Y2). It's been six years, and they are in middle school. They have always enjoyed going to school. Well-being is central to the school philosophy, and there is a good balance between academic and other activities. The shared project between the French stream and international is a plus.

A fantastic school with a great environment for kids to grow up. My daughter has been at JL-FIS since RC and is on her way to Y5.

FIS has been a big help in preparing and assisting me into Secondary School, the facilities around the school are well dispersed! The canteen food is astounding compared to another international school I’ve been to, the faculty have proven to me that they are really helpful in striving to help us advance our school studies. The curriculum mainly focuses on the IPC and the environmental partnerships goals. All in all FIS JL campus is a pretty good place!

FIS is a school that promotes independent and critical thinking. It strives to develop children to the best of their potential. As a result it’s a very inclusive school. Young kids start to learn through play. Classes have a nice mix.

The leadership is very available for feedback and very responsive.

The atmosphere is great. My kids are very happy there!

* Some teachers skills are really disappointing (for example non native speakers for language lessons)
* Too much use of screens as teaching material
* Facilities are good but recess areas are too small. Many activities are forbidden during recess (most ball games), which is a pity.

Good mix of streams (IB or French), mix of teachers (native English of French), large and modern campus, good scale in terms of size of student pool, good level of planning and administration.

Real bilingual learning environment in English and French for international stream. Students and teachers are multinational and coming from different backgrounds. Learning results can be seen on exit points exhibitions.

Kids come home everyday happy, and they are getting smart. School food is kinda terrible but we bring our own lunch so whatever.

FIS is a great place for kids to learn and develop - it is a true international environment (the 2 French & International streams studying in the same buildings) giving the kids opportunities for high-quality studying but also many social /sports interactions and community activities.

FIS is an excellent school and the vast majority of staff who work at the school are exceptional professionals who are trying their best to support the students. While the facilities are not the greatest, they still make great use of them and have been on a campaign of renovation to a significant sum of money, and the school atmosphere is extremely positive between staff, students, and administrators. Students enjoy being there, and they respect and admire their teachers. Academically, the school took a hit with their IB grades like many schools in HK but from what I've seen, they have done a lot of work to shore up and improve the grades for this IB cohort. My child is in Primary and they have offered him excellent support for his needs.

My two kids have been very happy at this school - the academic standards are high but the support is magnificent. The school focuses not only on grades but on producing well-rounded citizens with a global outlook and strong bilingual language skills.

Great recommend FIS: outstanding quality of education, highly engaged teachers, inclusive school, great facilities.

Although there were some terrific people who worked here, I am sad to say that the large majority were not. There is a large turnover of teachers, and throughout the pandemic while my daughter was there, there was little support for the children. I was told to hire a tutor when my daughter's math grades dropped. They are expensive and do not deliver the academic support needed. The facilities are also not as good as other schools my children have attended.
