Dedicated staff/programs for students with special learning needs	JCSRS provides a quality, inclusive education for pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
Learning support offered	JCSRS plays an important role in meeting the special educational needs of children in the ESF. The multi disciplinary staff consists of highly qualified and experienced teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, a Physiotherapist, Registered Music Therapist and a nurse.

Admissions

Entry evaluation for students	All students are reviewed by the Admissions and Review Panel (ARP) of the English Schools Foundation. The ARP receives, evaluates and makes placement recommendations regarding applications for entry to learning support classes and the Jockey Club Sarah Roe School.
Brief description of entry evaluation required	Reviews can be conducted in school to identify whether the school is appropriate for the child’s needs. If the student is making good progress, recommendations are made to the ARP regarding transfer of the student to a Learning Support Class. If the ARP agrees with the recommendations, the student will be transferred to a Learning Support Class once a place becomes available.

The Jockey Club Sarah Roe School is the only English-medium school in Hong Kong that caters for children with individual needs. The school supports students with a wide range of needs including moderate and severe or complex learning disabilities and students with autism. The age range is from 5 to 19 years. The school strives to empower children and young people to maximise their potential and where appropriate, make their transition into mainstream education through collaborative inclusion programmes.

Every child has an Individualised Educational Programme consisting of literacy, numeracy, communication, personal and social education, and behaviour targets to which the school's multidisciplinary team of therapists contributes as required.
