Students who have limited English Language ability may be required to attend a bridging English Language course before admission can be considered. These run on Saturdays and the student remains in his/her current school until such time that ACS Jakarta deems that he/she has the adequate standard for admission to ACS Jakarta. Parents of these students would have to pay for the bridging programme. Without an adequate foundation in the English Language, success in all other subjects will be limited. |

For admission into Kindergarten 2 to Grade 11 levels for the coming academic year, prospective students are required to go through a selection process: - For admission into Kindergarten: through interview. Student may be asked questions that would determine his/her language ability and numeracy knowledge. - For admission into Grades 1 to 9: through admission tests of English Language and Mathematics, and Science for those who is seeking for Grade 9. Students who meet the School's standard for admission will be short - listed for an interview. - For admission into Grade 10: entry into this grade is generally open to students seeking to do the 3-year Pre-IB course (usually open to students from the National Schools who will be completing/have completed UAN). Students will sit for English Language, Mathematics and relevant Science tests as well as tests in other subjects as deemed necessary by the School. Students who meet the School's standard will be short-listed for an interview. - For admission into Grade 11 (IBDP): through admission tests of English Language, Mathematics and the relevant Science test, and also tests in other subjects as necessary by the School. Students who meet the School's standard for admission will be short-listed for an interview. Those who lack the necessary literature skills will be required to attend a Literature Foundation course (to be held in March/June) prior to admission. |
