It is a great pleasure to welcome you to Global Jaya School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School located in a beautiful and popular suburb of Jakarta called Bintaro. Our status as an IB World School reflects a rigorous self-evaluation and training process of which we are very proud. We are pleased to be authorized to offer three IB programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the IB Diploma Programme (DP). In addition, we are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and a full member of the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS).
Global Jaya School is a non-denominational community that encourages and teaches respect for others by valuing Indonesian culture while embracing international cultural awareness. Our school implements an international curriculum that fully supports the home language development of our students.
Our students are our strongest asset and are at the center of our community. GJS students are talented, principled and active in their school lives. Kindergarten – Grade 6:
Interview between the Principal, student and parents and a one day trial to observe whether the student meets the following requirements:
Demonstrates appropriate social and emotional development, behavior and attitude.
Demonstrates sufficient English and Bahasa Indonesia language skills for the year level.
Demonstrates appropriate mathematics skills for his/her age.
The school can request the student to complete a second trial day if necessary.
Grade 7 - Grade 12:
Written test from Mathematics and English. Depending on the student’s language background, an additional Bahasa Indonesia test maybe required.

Primary School | Ages 4 to 11
Our school is centred on our community and culture. Our Primary School consists of students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We have approximately 300 students attending our primary school.
Every classroom consists of a national host teacher, expatriate teachers, junior teachers and/or an assistant teacher. We offer a wide range of specialist classes which consists of Music, Visual Arts, Religion, Physical Education, and Languages.
Our school curriculum follows the Primary Years Programme under the IB Curriculum Framework.
Secondary School | Ages 11 to 18
At GJS, the MYP plays a critical role in bridging the educational journey of our students who join us from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and then move on to the Diploma Programme (DP) in year 11. The MYP not only teaches knowledge, but also focuses on the Approaches to Learning Skills of communication, thinking, research, self-management, and social skills.
The Diploma Programme (DP) provides a challenging, internationally focused, broad, and balanced educational experience. Students are required to study six subjects over two years while also fulfilling additional programmatic requirements. The Diploma Programme is designed to equip students with the academic skills and understanding needed for university study, further education, and their chosen profession and passion once they leave the educational setting.
