Rosy Clark
Principal
I am delighted to welcome you to Nord Anglia School (NAS) Jakarta, Nord Anglia Education’s first international school in Indonesia. NAS Jakarta became a part of the Nord Anglia family in May 2017 and since August 2020 I have had the privilege to lead the school.
We deliver a dynamic education to our young learners aged 18 months to 12 years old both face-to-face on campus, and virtually when our students are learning from home. We use a blended curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England combined with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), which focuses on high expectations, key skills and knowledge and understanding, as well as encouraging excellent attitudes to learning and metacognition.
Our international educators are highly experienced and qualified and our excellent standards in learning and teaching create a curriculum that is relevant, rich and rewarding. We want our students to develop as well-rounded, global citizens and so alongside the academic curriculum, we place great value on the Visual and Performing Arts, Sport, Service, and Extra-Curricular Activities. Students are challenged to extend their learning, to follow their passions, and to be enthusiastic about the positive impact they can have on the world.
Nord Anglia School Jakarta is a special place to learn and is focused on one main aim: to provide the best possible learning experience for all. We look forward to sharing that experience with you and your family.

Early Years | Ages 2-5
The NAS Jakarta Early Years team provides an innovative and stimulating inquiry-based learning environment to help your child to flourish. We believe that every child is a unique individual who brings a wealth of ideas, opportunities and deep curiosity to our school.
We stay up-to-date with best educational practices from around the world and enhance our own offer accordingly. Our main curriculum guidance comes from the UK. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is a robust, enabling and well-rounded document that values every child as a unique and competent learner who will develop and learn in their own way and at their own pace.
Our Early Years teachers also embrace the Reggio Emilia approach towards education; believing that children learn best through self-directed, experiential play in a relationship driven environment.
Primary School | Ages 5-12
Our Primary curriculum is rigorous, contemporary and globally focused. Using a blend of the British National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), we adopt a creative and inquiry approach which develops children’s natural curiosity and fosters a desire to learn, think and take risks. A cross-curricular approach to teaching helps children to make meaningful connections in their learning and links their studies to the real world.
We also recognise the role of technology in the current and future lives of our students and create meaningful opportunities for children to learn, explore and use modern technology across the curriculum.
School Facilities
Located in a residential area of South Jakarta, NAS Jakarta’s expansive, garden-like campus creates a vibrant and stimulating learning environment for your child, nestled into quiet and peaceful grounds.
Well-equipped classrooms are complemented by specialist facilities, including a music room with a wide variety of instruments, extensively resourced library and a maker space, science lab, and modern computer suite to support STEAM learning.
Our campus is dotted with trees and wide-open spaces which, in addition to offering valuable opportunities for imaginative and adventurous play, are integral to lessons. Students are energised by learning beyond the classroom and the outdoor green environments spark children’s curiosity and creativity and provide great opportunities to challenge and excite.
After School
At NAS Jakarta, we believe that learning isn’t limited to the school day. Our extensive programme of extra-curricular activities (ECA’s) are designed to help your child continue the interests they love, discover new passions and nurture new talents.
Our varied schedule offers a wide variety of activities tailored to each age group, from sports to arts, technology to messy play, including many which are free to all students. Our comprehensive swimming programme is extended by our ECA swimming class. Activities take place during lunchtime or after-school and some are run by our own teachers whilst others are led by professional coaches and instructors.
Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur lessen
'Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur lessen' (NTC) is a unique programme to NAS that provides a framework for Dutch children in Jakarta to learn about Dutch culture, continue development of Dutch language skills and allow for easier transition upon returning to the Netherlands.
NTC classes operate in addition to the standard curriculum and are run by our experienced team of teachers for three hours once per week. Younger learners expand their vocabulary in a play based way through fun and engaging activities whilst older students focus on spelling, grammar, reading and writing in Dutch.
