Teaching approach of the school
|
At SIS we believe that all children are natural learners. They just need to be engaged in a manner that’s right for them. Through years of experience, we have hence designed an ecosystem that brings out the best in each student.
Inspired by Indonesia’s potential and Singapore’s ever-evolving methodology, our network of schools offer the Singapore, Cambridge and IB curriculum in a family-like environment that prioritises personalised learning.
With an unparalleled proficiency in English, Math, Science enriched by the humanities, regional languages and the Arts, we equip our students with the fundamentals to thrive on their own terms – now, and for the future.

Facilities
SIS-KG is home to a wide-arching lush and green campus.
We have well equipped Science laboratories for Biology, Chemistry and Physics, which meet international standards and have been instrumental in the success of our students throughout the years. Junior College library offers co-working spaces as well as a variety of opportunities for collaboration and self-study. We have playgrounds for both our Preschool and Primary years as well as separate swimming pools for both younger and older students. Our Preschool is also full of a number of active learning areas, like our manipulative wall and playroom. All classrooms have fully functioning projectors and are set up to create a positive and collaborative environment. We also have a Multi-Purpose Hall where students can play badminton, basketball, futsal, volleyball and also perform on stage.
Learning
With nearly 20-years of proven academic performance with alumni that have gone on to study at many of the world’s leading universities. Our vision is to inspire learners toward great heights and our mission is to spark curiosity and inquiry while developing values and 21st century skills. We prioritise learners and personalise learning to make a better world.
STEM
While following the Singapore curriculum, Cambridge and IB curriculums, we take great pride in our dedication to STEM - the integrated teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Despite the online mode of learning, staff and students at SIS KG have continued to display their prowess in this area. From completing experiments and various projects at their homes and putting on tremendous culminating presentations for our broader community. During the Covid-19 pandemic our Distance Learning program was hailed by parents as a success, in part because we are all technically savvy.
Sport
At SIS KG we pride ourselves on the success and strength of our athletics programme. Not only do we highly encourage the participation of our students in the areas of basketball, football, futsal, swimming and badminton but equally as important is the fact that we remain steadfast in our belief that teamwork and perseverance are traits which help build a successful student both within our walls and for the good of the greater community. Sports and athletics are things which teach life lessons. Failure, success and teamwork are important lessons all of our students must learn and experience and through sports, these life lessons are driven home.
Events
At SIS KG it is important to not only celebrate important events to our community but also celebrate them together. Whether it’s hosting regional math contests, cultural events, graduation ceremonies or throwing a concert at the end of the year, we know how to put on a show. We also host regular webinars, in person panel discussions and often put on value-added seminars like health and safety training. Our campus is always a buzz of activity and we always aim to make it a welcoming, fun place for students, parents, teachers and special guests.
