For admission into Universal's Kindergarten to Grade 9 levels, prospective students are required to go through a selection process:

FOR ADMISSIONS INTO KINDERGARTEN
Through interview: during the interview, the student may be asked questions to determine his/her language ability and numerical literacy. The student’s overall demeanor is observed and evaluated.

FOR ADMISSIONS INTO GRADE 1 TO 9
Through admissions tests and interview: students are required to sit for an admissions test and an interview.

Clubs and the Extra-Curricular Activities programme at Universal aims to deliver enjoyment, challenge, progression and breadth of experience to its students. They provide children with opportunities to pursue a range of interests by developing existing talents or learning something new. In addition to recreational choices, the programme enables children to try out and engage in competitive activities. The programme enhances the development of the students’ independence by encouraging them to make choices and organise their time, as well as teaching important lessons associated with trying out for selective sports squads or music ensembles.
