Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

The focus at Alma Mater is to develop well-rounded young men and women who are specifically groomed to excel at secondary and tertiary study. The Cambridge International Examinations were created for this precise purpose. Learners can also complete their A Levels at Alma Mater; this option greatly benefits learners who want to pursue careers in highly specialised fields such as medicine. Alma Mater provides a safe, friendly and disciplined learning environment in which it builds social and academic skills in self-confident students.

Teaching approach of the school

Expect more!
Sometimes a school becomes too occupied with the things that schools generally do and in the process forget that it all should be about learning. Whether it is sport, culture, academics or even student leadership it should all be about learning. Students, and for that matter parents and teachers too, cannot leave Alma Mater in December and be the same as when they arrived in January. They need to be different. Learning changes people.
