The French school is accredited by the French ministry of national education. In that capacity , it provides curriculum in compliance with the one followed by French pupils. The nursery (2 to 5 years old) offers a pedagogical approach aiming to appropriate oral language, to discover writing , develop communication in all its different aspects , foster independence and creativity. From Grande Section class (last year of nursery), learning of English is introduced. At elementary school (6 to 10 years old) , pupils strengthen their knowledge by learning to read and write , by discovering the world and by becoming familiar with mathematics. They will have their first science and history projects to discover the world around them. During all that period, the pupils gain in autonomy and in self-confidence. From collège (middle school – 11 to 15 years old), the pupils prepare for French degrees (Diplôme national du brevet , Baccalauréat) by following a teaching in literature , mathematics, science, history , geography, language and sports. The teaching methods aim to develop autonomy, creativity, critical thinking and fulfillment as a future citizen.
