Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

The Australian International School Malaysia (AISM), a member of the Taylor’s Education Group, is the only International School in Malaysia offering the New South Wales (NSW) Australian curriculum taught by highly qualified international teachers, predominantly Australian trained and experienced.
The Australian curriculum offers seamless transition into education pathways in Australia and provides an international qualification recognised by top universities around the world. Growing steadily over the years since its inception in 2000, the school caters for children from age 3 (Pre-school) to age 18 (Pre-University).
Located in a secure gated community in Seri Kembangan, AISM overlooks the picturesque South Lake of Mines Resort City, a short drive from Kuala Lumpur City Centre. The school houses its Junior, Middle, and Senior schools on ONE open and green campus with around 370 students represented by over 22 different nationalities.

The school is the first certified Visible Learning School in the world, a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and was recognised again with the prestigious 5-Star Excellence Awards from the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

Early Learning Center and Junior School
Our Early Learning Centre (ELC) aims to provide a warm, secure and stimulating preschool environment for children aged 3-5. Using the Australian Early Years Learning Framework and the Reggio Emilia Philosophy, our students are exposed to a variety of learning experiences.
At AISM’s Junior School, students (aged 6-11) get to experience a holistic education where they strive for high academic standards. We cultivate a love of learning and provide individual learning styles for all our children. Central to an Australian education is the development of general capabilities throughout all learning areas through general and STEM subjects.
Middle & Senior School and Pre-University
In Middle School, your child will study a range of subjects which will give them a breadth of understanding, laying an important foundation for later success. In Years 9 and 10 they will start specialising and choose elective subjects.
From Year 9 onwards, we help your child to further develop the discipline and high order thinking skills they need for university and careers. In the Australian education, students can complete up to 13 years of schooling, which culminates in the internationally recognised New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC). In Years 9 and 10, students study core subjects as well as electives, in preparation for further specialisation in the Higher School Certificate, which is equivalent to the A-Levels or IB Diploma.
Our Campus
Our facilities promotes high order thinking, problem solving and collaboration - qualities necessary for future success. The Design & Technology workshop houses a computer design suite with other resources and technologies in two Computer laboratories and five Science laboratories. Upon request, students are provided with iPads and Macbooks upon request.
Our Careers and Senior Study centre, allows senior students to study collaboratively or work independently. As a connected campus with Wi-Fi throughout, our "Bring Your Own iPad" program encourages our senior students to carry their own and go mobile with their learning.
