As a parent ourselves, we were looking for an education system that help the children to learn and develop soft skills like leadership, teamwork, collaboration, communication and feedback and more. Why? Because those are essential skills for the children when they are in the working environment, regardless self-employ or employment.
We came to know IB, another education system beside the well known IGCSE.
We are happy that we enrolled our son to Fairview Subang back in Aug 2019.
How did we make our decision? Thankfully Fairview provided 3 days trial class. During the 3 days trial class, our children get to join the actual class, learning the same thing, doing the same school work, participate in all activities. There is no special arrangement for trial, everything as what it is in the actual school.
We still remembered that our children told us every day how they like the school for the 3 days trial class. The classes were not boring. There were many activities, many discussions, many thought sharing and more. On the last day, our children presented us what they had learn, through small performance or work presentation. It was quite astonishing to see how they managed to learn in 3 days and involved themselves into the class so fast. After the trial class, our children made friends and they continued to contact with each other even though we didn’t enroll our children. The enrolment was after 2 years.
Well, we didn’t immediately enrolled both of them, because we would like to understand more. We spent time to talk to teacher, learning how the school work and IB. One of the thing that we like about IB is teachers encourage feedback and opinion sharing, helping the children to do reflection to develop themselves.
We also went to education fair, and we went with open minded to learn about other system. We talk to many schools, IB or IGCSE or specialty skill type of school. At the end, we came to our decision with IB. We see IB equally emphasize on academic, critical soft skills and exposure to different activities.
After 2 years my eldest son studying in Fairview Subang, he made a lot of achievements and we can see there are many opportunities and various things he can have and can do.
First year, he danced on stage as Michael Jackson, won the performance competition. He went to orphan house to help and contribute back to the society. He learned about some survival skill and he taught us that. And in academic, he is awarded with the distinction award.
Second year, unfortunately due to pandemic, outdoor activities are removed. However, that doesn’t stop the activities, he did pod casting to public, he joined Kangaroo math competition, won ASMO school round (science) competition. In academic, he was again awarded with distinction award and this year he also awarded with global citizenship award.
3rd year now, he achieved another great achievement which he is now appointed as student council president.
The school provides children with opportunities, learning platform and teachers play very big role. Teachers help the children to develop their skill and specialty, all rounded. During the pandemic, my son is having class online at home. From there, I can see how teachers are teaching. Teachers are open to feedback and questions, and more importantly teachers are helping the children to see things differently.
After our son, our daughter is now enrolled into Fairview Subang too. She clearly showed different attitude and behaviour towards study and homework. She didn’t share much about her previous school but now she always tell us story in Fairview. We are so happy with that.
During her 1st year, she got her first achievement, winning 2nd place in Merdeka art contest. She is appointed as project leader, playing the role to manage the project. We believe that there are more for her in the coming years, we wish her and her brother all the best.
If you are looking more than just academic, maybe do give sometimes to know about IB and Fairview Subang. You probably found something you want.

From the beginning of resistance to transfer to an international school, now I am complacent and willing to accept the challenge and ushered in all the wonderful changes today. Regardless of courage, insights, searching for information, exploration, broadening international horizons, caring and management skills, all aspects have been greatly improved. The Subang Fairview International School’s principal and teachers taught me patiently and lovingly, so that I can quickly get through the adjustment period. I sincerely thank the teacher who helped me, let me just meet you, and change the trajectory of learning from now on.

My name is Lim Kel Gin. I am a 14 year old or Middle Year 3 kid as of 2021, that studies in Fairview International School Subang Jaya. At first when I came here, I had a few skills such as analysing skills, communicating skills and so on, however they weren't really strong. But after spending 2 years now in Fairview International School, I have realised that my analysing skills were strengthened as well as my communicating skills. The Breakthrough talk that the school allowed me to conduct really helped a lot with my communication and public speaking skills. Moving on, through Fairview International School's group activities, I also realised that I had a hidden skill, which is the skill of leadership. In short, through Fairview Subang Jaya and their loving teachers, I have not only strengthened my known skills, but it has also helped me to learn more about myself and to understan... read full review

Fairview Subang has given our daughter the most rewarding IB school experience for the past two years no matter its physical or online schooling. The teachers are amazing beyond words, we realize that they go beyond to accommodate our daughter and her classmates. The teacher and school management has made it easy for the students as well as parents during the pandemic and online schooling. My daughter is very resourceful and independent on shifting classes, homework submission, interactive session with the zoom and google classroom which been setup for her.
Fairview host many events like Celebration of Learning, coffee morning and others, giving us, parents insight of the IB learning, the school headway and chance of seeing our child progress for the semester. The daily or weekly updates from the teachers, give us joy that our daughter flourish academically and socially. We are glad to be part of Fairview Subang Family.

am the parent of two girls aged 9 and 10 years old. Both joined Fairview International school Subang Jaya 4 years ago and they are now in P4 and P5, respectively. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the past and present teachers for their tireless and dedicated efforts in nurturing them. All the teachers are very friendly, caring, patience and made IB learning so much fun, interesting and practical during lessons. In Fairview International school Subang Jaya, it is not just textbook Knowledge alone imparted to my girls but they also learned the IB's Approach To Learning (ATL) skills. The ATL skills help them to develop thinking, social, self Management, research and communication skills. I am happy to see that today, my daughters are very independent, caring and positive in life.
Even though most of the classes are conducted via online since last year du... read full review

BREAKTHROUGH TALK-FAIRVIEW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SUBANG JAYA CAMPUS
May we take this opportunity to thank the school, Ms Tee, Ms Munira,
Ms Shirley, Ms Cinthia, teachers and all the staff for all the hard work you all put in and the IB curriculum, which have brought out the best in our child, Saneli P4. And during her Breakthrough talk, she was able to showcase her academic achievements Fairview International Subang Campus, along with her extra curricular activities she does, showing further that she has become a well balanced and well rounded child.
It was a great opportunity and a great platform for her to shine and showcase her talents.
We are deeply and humbly thankful for this golden ticket for Saneli Amaaya to rise up further and challenge herself more to do greater things in her academic and non academic, as well as be balanced and be that kind, generous, helpful child she... read full review

Fairview Subang, this institution started out good but that was 6 years ago. And sad to say as the years went by it deteriorated and can be seen with the number of students enrolled at the school today
When my daughter first attended the school as a first grader there was about 235 students. But each year the students pulled out and enrolled into better international schools. It was so bad that the total students enrolled for the 2020 - 2021 school year was only a mere 70 kids. Goes to show how bad the school deteriorated.
Why is this so? Simple cause the principal at the main campus, Vincent Chian didnt give a hoot about the Subang campus at all. Shouldnt the principal go talk to the students teachers and parents to actually find out the concerning matters about the school there? That is correct he didnt even bother to go to the school and talk to the faculty parents or... read full review

Fairview International School Subang campus is one of the few schools in Malaysia that are authorized by IBO to provide high quality IB programmes from EYP, PYP, and MYP. My boy was joining the Reception when he was 4 years old in 2018. Little by little I can see differences happening to my boy. He loves mathematics very much! He told us that his learning is fun and all about thinking. There might be some positives to the old memorizing way but I really prefer this new way of learning maths because it enables my boy to think about what he learned. I was amazed by my boy not to memorize the times table but learning it with the strategies taught by teacher in his 5 years old. The IB students can claim ownership over their learning which is so important that their learning can last for life.

Fairview International School - Subang Jaya might look ordinary from the outside but don't let it fool you. It is a powerhouse for aspiring students who want to study at world top universities in the world. It is one of the few schools in Malaysia that are authorised by IBO to run high quality Ib programmes from kindergarten reception to middle years programme. The teachers are trained IB teachers and are super responsible. It never falls short of excellent IB programmes, great teachers and fantastic online learning platform using flipped classroom concept. I am so grateful that I choose Fairview as the place to groom my child into someone whom he will definitely like to be in the future.
