The Special Needs Division is an integral part of DBS. It is designed to provide students, with mild to moderate learning disabilities, with an opportunity to gain basic academic and life skills in order to prepare them for a relatively independent lifestyle once they leave school.

Based on his or her assessment and needs an Individual Education Plan is developed for each student.
After students complete the Special Needs Program, they enter DBS' Vocational Program, which offers Edexcel (BTEC - Entry Levels 2 and 3), ASDAN (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and COPE. These programs teach students a range of skills and help them in developing personal qualities and attitudes essential in the world of work.
