Yes, every class has a teaching assistant. There are additional classroom assistants for our EYFS classes. |

Every classroom from Pre reception and above has a smart board. All children Reception and above have their own tablet. We also have an IT suite. Each primary class has a tv screen which is used to project the lessons - we teach through interactive and learning progressive slides |

During COVID - 19, online classes were offered to all age groups. We have a contingency plan in place if we were ever in that situation again or indeed we needed to close the school for any reason. |

We offer Share with Me assignments for our EYFS students. These are done every half term. Our Primary children receive Home Learning which is progressive betweem Y1 to Y3 and Y4 to Y6. |

There is no suggested time. There is reading and spelling for all. In additional to this Y1 to Y3 have 1 piece of additional work and Y4 to Y6 have an additional 2 pieces of work to complete. |

We have a learning support department where we are able to offer support to children with SEND, EAL or are AGT. |

The support we offer is very much depednent on the needs of the indivdiual. In wome cases we collaborate with exetenal professionals and work collaboratively to support a child. In other cases we have withdrawl sessions to support the child in a 1:1 situation. All children receiving support will have an IEP to ensure that their specific learning needs are being met. These are reviwed every half term. |

GAT children are supported depending on their needs. Each child will receive an IEP where we could set targets for in school support which would then be received to ensure progress. |

Entry evaluation for students |
Before enrolling new students we offer a 'taster' day in class which will allow us to assess the child and also for them to get a flavour of the school. We have found this to be helpful for the parents too. |
Brief description of entry evaluation required |
We give written feedback to the parents, directed by the class teacher and the Principal. Upon receipt of admission paperwork, the Principal would then meet with the parents to finalise the infomration received and ask any questions to ensure all information is correct. |

Teaching approach of the school |
We are fortunate to be able to offer at least 2 adults in all our classes - a class teacher and a teaching assistant. Both are focused on the individual as well as collective needs of the children in their care. Teaching is directed to support and enhance learning for ALL, ensuring that children are self motivated, own their own learning and grow to have a passion for learning whilst obtaining the knoweldge, skills and understanding to ensure 'Learning is for Life'.
