Homework is set to complement and consolidate work done in class and to allow pupils to work at their own pace. In the youngest classes, pupils may be asked to complete a reading task which may involve parents. For older classes, homework gives pupils practice in managing their own learning, fulfilling targets and meeting deadlines. For IGCSE and Advanced Level classes, homework plays an essential role in developing the kind of study habits and self discipline necessary for examination success, and indeed academic achievement beyond the EIC. |

The College boasts the best sports facilities on the coast which are used by students of all ages and include a 25 metre competition size swimming pool, a learner pool, an Astroturf sports pitch, two basketball courts, a volleyball court with a sprung surface, a long jump bay and a climbing wall. There is a separate changing room and shower block situated adjacent to the playing fields and swimming pool. Additionally, our Physical Education department utilise the natural surroundings which consist of protected pine forests and a Mediterranean coastline. |

The English International College in Marbella, Spain, is a school that offers the British National Curriculum in an international context to approximately 450 boys and girls of many nationalities aged three to eighteen years. Although the predominant language is English, being the first language of 80% of our students, the remaining 20% presents us with a most valuable diversity of cultures and nationalities. |
