Teaching approach of the school |
The educational project at Agora Portals International School is based on 5 pillars which support and complement each other, equipping our students with the tools to become global citizens capable of shaping the world. The 5 pillars are: IB: a model for the future, Multilingualism, STEAM: Science & Arts, Sport, Health & Fitness, and Shaping the world. So, we educate in values, training the management of their emotions, promoting coexistence so that, as our mission says, they are able to improve the world. |
The Infant Education stage is the basis for all the educational process. It is the time when foundations are laid. During this stage, the children start their development and an early stimulation allows the brain cell connections to multiply.
Primary Education is more academic in nature than the Infant Education stage and the objectives and content of the different subjects in the school curriculum are worked on, as well as the essential values for a good personal development. At this stage, children strengthen their personality and master skills and knowledge relating to oral expression and comprehension, reading, writing and arithmetic. They also develop social skills, work and study habits, artistic sense, creativity and affectivity.
Secondary Education is a stage where specialisation begins, in which special importance is given to artistic education, as well as the introduction to a second foreign language, with a choice between French and German.
We take into account the different needs of students at this age and their variety of interests when choosing their future. Taking into account the diversity of our pupils, we seek the personal development of each student, giving them individual attention according to their needs, aptitudes and preferences.
Agora Portals International School has been offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) since 2011, a leading qualification in the field of international education which aims to train reflective and critical students, with an active and motivated attitude towards learning.
With the International Baccalaureate, students will be able to complete their entire pre-university stage at our school by finishing their studies with the highest international projection, which will allow them to access the most prestigious universities in Europe and beyond.
The Baccalaureate is focused on students' subsequent access to the university environment. At this stage, the aim is to achieve intellectual and personal maturity in order to face adult life with greater guarantees of success.
The school's objective at this stage is twofold: on the one hand, we offer pupils a high academic level, so that they obtain the best possible results in the University Entrance Exams (PAU) and, on the other hand, we train people capable of successfully facing the demanding level of university studies.
Agora Portals is located in a coastal area, close to the sea and set on a magnificent, fully-equipped site. Our buildings and facilities are designed to foster a positive and focused learning environment and our facilities are bright and spacious and adapted to meet the needs of all of our pupils throughout each stage of their educational journey. The school has excellent sports facilities which include outdoor courts for different sports and a fully equipped sports centre with a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool, basketball and handball courts, tennis courts and a football pitch.
