We apply active learning, which is student-centered and focused on learning through doing. As far as is possible students are provided with practical learning activities and opportunities to apply their learning in real life situations. Project-based and inquiry-based learning are at the core of our approach. Students also do several group tasks to encourage and develop communication, cooperation and collaboration. We also have a strong focus on community, responsible citizenship and protection of the environment. Learning journeys provide opportunities for students to explore the world they live in and to apply their knowledge towards creative solutions to local and global problems. Service learning is embedded in our program from Preschool to Junior College. |
