Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
Nord Anglia International School New York is a British international private school in New York City. Its collaborations with MIT and Juilliard allows NAISNY to offer a truly unique curriculum that will help your child fulfill their potential. |
Teaching approach of the school |
NAISNY prepares children for an exciting future. World-class teachers develop each student's skills, and give your child a unique international perspective. |
The Early Years curriculum starts your child off on the road of a lifelong learner, and develops numeracy and literacy through play.
Children from 2 to 5 years old learn in our bright, engaging, play-based environment. Our large open learning spaces and classrooms allow our youngest learners to develop personally, socially, and emotionally. Children build the confidence to develop academically and ultimately love learning in an international context.
The International Primary Curriculum builds up your child's knowledge and understanding, and gives them a love of learning that makes the world an exciting place.
Lower School is for students 5 to 9 years old and comprises Years 1 through 4, US grades K-3. Students are warmly welcomed to an engaging environment where young minds thrive through daily challenges and achievements. With the benefits of small class sizes and large classroom spaces, the children can explore their learning with new opportunities.
Currently, we are working hard in improving the approach we give to the Lower School. We are working this term to develop our curriculum and environments for a fresh, more impactful approach in the new school year.
In Upper School your child will use two means of study: the National Curriculum of England and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Together, these provide an ideal way to guide your child forward.
Upper School at NAISNY comprises students aged 9-14 years old and is equivalent to Grades 4-8 in the American school system. In Upper School, students are at a unique stage; discovering independence but needing support to grow academically and personally. By using both the National Curriculum of England and the International Primary and Middle Years curriculums we offer a great solution, strengthened further by collaborations with MIT, Juilliard, and UNICEF.
